One day, Shri.
Yadavaraoji Joshi asked P.P.Doctorjee: “Do you consider Lokamanya Bal
Gangadhar Tilak as your ideal hero?”
After a brief pause, P.P.Doctorjee replied, “From my childhood, I have always
held the belief that Chhatrapti Shivaji Maharaj to be my hero”.
He lapsed into a thoughtful silence. After a few moments, he said, “Many of
my childhood friends gave up their ideals and goals when they grew up. I
never felt that following the footsteps of
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj caused me any harm. I can never forsake his
ideals even in a dream. This is why I enjoy the sweet nectar of satisfaction
in following the great Chhatrapati’s path”.
