Once, P.P.Doctorjee stayed at the home of Mr. Vaidya, a well-known advocate.
Many famous people came to see Mr. Vaidya every day. Mr. Vaidya made it a
point to introduce him to all these visitors. He was very proud of
P.P.Doctorjee.
He would say: “See, this is the famous Dr. Keshava Baliram Hedgewar. You must
have heard of Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founded by Dr. Moonje of
Nagpur. Well, now that Dr. Moonje is far too much preoccupied with other
work, he has entrusted the task of leading RSS to Dr. Hedgewar!”
In the four months that P.P.Doctorjee stayed with Mr. Vaidya, daily the same
introduction was given. Not even once did P.P.Doctorjee try to correct
advocate Vaidya, that indeed it was he who had founded RSS.
Personal ego had been completely conquered by P.P.Doctorjee. To him, it was
totally immaterial as to who was called the founder of RSS.
