In the meeting described in incident #135 above, a proposal was brought to
the podium. It essentially condemned the path of Revolutionary Freedom
Fighters.
At once, P.P.Doctorjee stood up and declared that he was totally against such
a resolution. People were surprised at the firmness of his resolve. A
prominent leader, Lokanayak Bapuji Aney was present when this happened. He
knew P.P.Doctorjee as an outstanding patriot. He got up and said:
“P.P.Doctorjee opposes the resolution to condemn the revolutionary freedom
fighters with good reason. The revolutionaries are immensely patriotic. We
may not exactly endorse the path they have chosen. But that does not give us
the right to put down their tremendous self-sacrifice and dedication. In
reality, we should agree with P.P.Doctorjee, and pay homage to these fallen
patriots”.
