One day, P.P.Doctorjee was
sitting with his friends, when a postman (mail man) delivered a letter to him.
Everybody began to laugh in derision, since the letter had been mailed over 3
years earlier, and the letter writer had died since then.
All present ridiculed the
inefficiency of the post office, but P.P.Doctorjee was silent. When asked about
it, he said: "I find it highly admirable that the letter eventually
reached its destination, even though originally it was lost, and it traveled
all over Bharat. Since the sender had passed away shortly after mailing it,
there was no one to follow up. Still, the letter managed to make it to its
final, intended destination. We Bharateeyas have a lesson to learn from this
and the nearly fool-proof system devised by the British."
