Later, I joined
"Saavadhan" daily newspaper. One night, Doctorjee was in a
"baithak" with swayamsevaks till 11:30 P.M, in the office of the
newspaper. My editor's desk and chair had been temporarily moved to the next
room, where I was finalizing the next day’s copy. As such, I could not attend
the baithak.
At about midnight, a senior
pracharak, Mr. Devakule, led me to Doctorjee. He smiled and greeted me, and
said: "please proceed with your work. It is as important as our baithak.
After all, tomorrow's edition must come out on time, and with the usual
excellent quality!"
This showed Doctorjee's
greatness and propriety. Everybody, big and small, should perform his duties as
assigned, for the smooth functioning of the society. Doctorjee's life was an
excellent, live example of his principles!
