P.P.Doctorjee’s clarity of Vision – II
|
The Congress party did not
subscribe to the thoughts expressed by the Ghosh Pramukh. In fact, these ideas are the very bedrock
of Sangha philosophy. The Congress
leaders in the audience sent a written directive to the function’s president:
”In a function that you are presiding over, such ‘Communal’ thoughts have
been expressed. It is possible that
the Congress party may take disciplinary action against you for this”. In the end, in his presidential
address, the Sangha Chalak stated the following: “Hindusthan belongs to all
who live here. Foreigners call all
Indians as Hindus. When our Ghosh
Pramukh expressed his thoughts they were based on this idea”. The Sangha Chalak was trying to give
deliberate, different coloration to Sangha Philosophy, for the sake of
political expediency, and to avoid possible disciplinary action from the
political party (Indian National Congress). This incident was widely publicized
in the daily newspapers “Maharashtra” and “Hitawaad” published from
Nagpur. Naturally, P.P.Doctorjee saw
the news items. He immediately
traveled to the city in question, and met with the local workers. He asked them “Are the newspaper reports
true and correct?” They told him the
whole story. When P.P.Doctorjee heard
the justification that the Sangha Chalak had indeed said what had been
attributed to him to avoid a possible disciplinary action by the Congress
Party, he quipped; “Who said that the Congress Party alone can take
disciplinary action? Realistically,
we from the Sangha are the ones who should be taking it.” Incidents Narrated by Shri. Bhaskar Rao Ninaave: (He was an advocate from Bhandara city. He
was a Swayamsevak all his life.) P.P.Doctorjee’s reply was clear as
a crystal. He said: “It is true that
Swayamsevaks should obey the command given by a Sangha Chalak. However, the
Sangha Chalak does not have untrammeled freedom to order what he
pleases. [If he transgresses the
rules of Sangha work, the Swayamsevaks are right in disobeying this
commands.] Click Here go to Home Page |
